We offer a professional garden design service, tailored to suit our clients’ needs, with the aim of exceeding their expectations. We design and create beautiful gardens, unique features and captivating planting. We communicate closely with our clients from concept through to completion. Consultation

On receiving an inquiry we will arrange to meet with you to assess and discuss your garden. This meeting will help you work out what you really want to get from your garden, whether you have a clear plan or just need help realising an idea. It is also a good opportunity for you to understanding how our work will progress.  After our meeting we will compose a brief, including a quote, which will become the basis of our design work.

Survey

Before the design work can commence, a detailed survey of the garden must be carried out. A detailed and accurate survey is key, as it can save costly mistakes later on. For a site that is complex or on a large scale we recommend the survey is carried out by a professional survey company. On smaller scale gardens the survey can be carried out by us. During the survey of the garden, all elements will be taken in to consideration from the location and quality of existing trees and shrubs to the structure and pH level of the soil.

Design Layout

Working off the brief, I will develop a layout plan setting out the design ideas for your garden. This would be supported by additional material such as mood boards, samples of proposed materials, illustrations and sections, all in aid of giving you a better understanding of your new garden. Presenting the design in detail to you, helps you visualise the finished garden and gives you confidence in suggesting any alterations you may wish to make.

Construction specification

To ensure you garden is built accurately and to a high standard, we will produce detailed specifications and construction drawings for all contractors to quote and construct from. These will include:

- Specification document- detailing construction methods and standards
- Sections through the garden- illustrating level changes and heights
- Construction details and layout plans- defining elements such as paving, walls, structures
and water features.

Plant detailing

As part of the brief, we will have decided on a planting style to suit your needs and the condition of the site. The planting plan accurately details the types of plants in the planting boarders, specifying their location, numbers, and their correct spacing. Along with the planting schedule the plan will be used for costing, ordering and setting out the plants.

Project Supervision

To ensure your garden develops in to exactly what you want, we will be on hand to liaise with the contractors to make sure they are suitable for your project. I can also monitor the work to ensure your garden is constructed to a satisfactory standard and be available to resolve any issues should any arise.

Planting

The planting is the key to bringing your garden to life, so to help guarantee the quality and reduce the environmental impact, we source the plants from the best local nurseries. Using our skills and expertise we carry out the planting ourselves, to ensure it creates the perfect finishing touches.
